The Acoustical Windows® are presented in two different types: the Single Partition Window
and the Double Partition Window.
The Single Partition Window is the most common type of window, which accommodates a
standard single partition wall, and is best suited when lower isolation values are required.
The Double Partition Window is the most common type of window, which accommodates a
double partition wall providing much higher isolation values than the single type. Due to the
fact that glass panes are inclined, they are also very helpful in controlling sound and light
reflections.
The Acoustical Windows® are made of wood. Glass panes are mounted over a closed cell
neoprene bed. Standard finishes are: light wood, dark wood or colored lacquer. Please contact
MBR Design Group for special color matching.
The Acoustical Windows® are available in a standard 4'-0" (1.22m) wide by 3'-0" (0.91m)
height. Custom window sizes are also available upon request.
PLEASE NOTE: Since glass selection is a key factor for sound isolation, glass type and thickness must be considered for the desired performance. Please contact Malvicino Design Group for assistance in glass selection.
