Combined Panel
The Combined Panel® is a Slat Type Resonator which achieves great absorption at low
frequencies and provides diffusion, in the horizontal plane, at high frequencies.
In many cases, small spaces present reverberation times within the low frequency range which
are much longer than the ones present in larger areas. On the other hand, reflections from
hard surfaces are stronger and faster, requiring more absorption to be applied. The Combined
Panel® is very effective in both of these situations. As a resonator, it is excellent for controlling
the excess of reverberation and modal interference. As a diffuser, it enhances the upper range
by spreading the high frequency energy into the room, helping control early reflections, and
acoustically simulating, whereas smaller rooms get a feel for a much larger space.
The Combined Panel® is made of wood. Standard finishes are: light wood, dark wood (light
wood exterior box and dark wood moldings). Please contact MBR Design Group for special
color matching.
The Combined Panel® is manufactured under custom specs for every room. Standard
dimensions are: 2'-0" (0.61m) wide by 4'-0" (1.22m) high. Please contact MBR Design Group
to submit your room information.
The Combined Panel® installation can be implemented to any wall via customized "J" Type
clips. Two pairs of clips per unit are supplied. A real panel size template with pre-drilled holes
is also provided in order to accommodate mounting hardware locations. Please refer to
schematic for mounting details.

(1) For a sample panel of 5" (12.7cm) depth, 1/16" (1.6mm) of spacing between Acoustical Moldings® and 1" (2.5cm) fiberglass insulation in cavity.
